INDE Sponsors UCLA’s “exploretech.la” Event Supporting Students from Underserved Communities

Published: March 28, 2019

With nearly 8 years of experience in building next-generation solutions using Augmented Reality technology, INDE is proud to be sponsoring this year’s exploretech.la event, taking place at UCLA’s Ackerman Grand Ballroom on April 10, 2019.

INDE will be conducting a workshop themed “How Digital Content will reshape how we view the Real World”. Through real-life examples of successful AR projects installed worldwide, as well as live demonstrations on HoloLens and MobileAR both during the workshop and at the expo hall, students will be able to learn more about how Augmented Reality fundamentally changes the way we interact with the world around us.

Exploretech.la, an annual event held at UCLA, aims to encourage and inspire high school students from underserved communities in the Greater Los Angeles area to pursue possibilities in computer science and technology. Through panels, interactive workshops, and booths representing UCLA student organizations as well as industry, the event aims to make computer science and technology more accessible to local high school students.

Alex Poulson, INDE’s CEO said: “AR represents a sea change in how we will consume digital content going forward. We are now in the transition from the broadcast/consumption of content from 2D to a three dimensional space. AR offers a unique path towards integrating digital data into the real world to create the next computing platform.”
