INDE's Arctic-themed AR Experience Appears in Santa’s Christmas Grotto at Intu Trafford Centre, Manchester

Arctic Explorer, INDE’s large-screen AR polar experience has been installed as part of the "Polar Expedition", a fully immersive icy experience at intu Trafford Centre, the second largest shopping centre in the United Kingdom.

As they step into a beautifully detailed 3D environment featuring photo-realistic animals - a polar bear, orcas, penguins and a seal -, the little ones and their parents instantly get immersed in the frozen wonders of nature, and find themselves incredibly close to these wonderful creatures as the animals pose for petting on the glaciers and splash visitors by jumping into the ocean.

UK company INDE has already put life-sized digital dinosaurs, whales and jaguars into museums, zoos and shopping centres worldwide. Besides enabling a unique interaction with wild animals and letting people touch the untouchable, INDE’s BroadcastAR experiences are also meant to deliver an important conservation message. It’s bringing back the extinct and then learning about why they’re gone. It’s touching wild animals and learning about the fragile environment and our impact on it.
