INDE’s AR Experience Debuts at Colombo City Centre Mall, Sri Lanka

Published: September 30, 2018

INDE’s BroadcastAR system comes to Sri Lanka! Installed in the entrance atrium at Colombo City Centre mall, visitors are able to experience the world of dinosaurs and ocean creatures using the latest large-screen Augmented Reality technology developed by the AR company.

The Back to the Jurassic and Ocean Adventure experiences will allow people to interact with extinct and rare creatures in an entirely new way. As they step in front of the giant AR screen, participants are instantly surrounded by life-sized dinosaurs, or find themselves right by the ocean, playing with an orca, a dolphin and other aquatic animals.

The beautifully-detailed 3D AR content does not only provide a unique, interactive group experience for all ages, but also attracts huge crowds and significantly increases footfall for the mall. The AR system automatically generates snapshots of these special encounters, allowing people to share their most memorable moments online with just a few clicks.

“When we realised the power of augmented reality back in 2010 there was still a huge distance to travel to allow an app-free experience everyone could enjoy. BroadcastAR was built to bridge that gap and allow collective experience without any action on part of the visitor,” said Alex Poulson, INDE’s CEO.

Anand Sundaram, CEO of Colombo City Centre said: “The combination of world-class retail, international cuisine, and state-of-the-art entertainment will make the Mall on par with some of the best found around the world.”
