Located on San Francisco’s iconic waterfront, Aquarium of the Bay provides unforgettable encounters with local marine life. To reinforce these efforts, the aquarium has recently become home to a large-screen Augmented Reality experience developed by INDE, allowing visitors to meet some amazing aquatic creatures such as orcas, seals and penguins in an immersive 3D environment.

Immerse yourself in the freezing arctic wilds with Arctic Explorer, INDE's greatest Augmented Reality polar experience. From Polar bears to orcas, the Arctic Explorer BroadcastAR system lets you get up close and personal with some of most magnificent creatures in the world. INDE's Appshaker Broadcast AR Augmented Reality experiences are ready to delight audiences with some of the most realistic 3D animated characters ever created. Installable in public or private spaces, they provide a unique experience for all ages, and are extremely compelling as both media space and edutainment platforms.

By connecting guests with marine animals the aquarium seeks to nurture emotional connections that inspire conservation advocacy. The Augmented Reality encounter also serves as a next-generation edutainment platform that lets people learn, explore and touch the untouchable, with the additional feature that participants have their special moments captured for instant sharing online.
