The golf world was shaken up during 2024 with the announcement of the Liv Golf World Tour, a new team based format of rock n’roll golf that is intended to appeal to new and older fans of the sport. With its clear intent to take on board the very latest in on-course fan engagement, the Liv Golf team approached INDE with a huge challenge: how to deliver 13 teams of 4 golf superstars in an AR experience that can be delivered seamlessly and headache free to 12 locations across the world.

The mirror unit enables fans to take photos of themselves alongside the 4 team members of their choice with a unique digital souvenir. The units were placed at six different strategic on-course locations, enabling fans to get the broadest access possible to the experience, and were managed by INDE during the events.

The Hero Mirror is arguably INDE’s most popular AR product, delivering ground-breaking retail technology into the sports, marketing and entertainment sphere. Liv Golf’s fans got a unique experience that aligns with the values of their brand, with a high quality activation that reflected its qualities and aspirations.

When Liv Golf came calling for help for fan engagement with their new global golf tour, INDE jumped at the opportunity. Using its HeroMirror platform, together with its seamless end-to end service enabled LIV Golf to sit back as INDE arranged content, UI & UX development, hardware integration, on-course deployment, data capture and management. The on and off course experience is both a delight for fans and followers of the tour, and simple to use for the LIV team.
