July 19, 2016 — Arctic Explorer, one of INDE’s most popular AR experiences has recently made its debut at ViaSea, Istanbul's newly opened large aquarium, located in the Viaport Marina Theme Park.

The aquarium complex offers visitors an opportunity to observe marine life and exotic fish in their natural habitats. It is now also home to INDE’s Arctic Explorer BroadcastAR, a large-screen Augmented Reality experience that allows visitors to get up-close and personal with some beautiful aquatic creatures such as orcas, seals and penguins, in an immersive photo-realistic 3D environment.

ViaSea has around 12,000 different sea creatures living in a marine complex, containing more than 5 million liters of water. What is unique about ViaSea is that the complex is thematically designed around climates, meaning that various sea creatures are divided into categories based on the tropic, polar and temperate zones. Visitors can also participate in workshops to learn more about marine life.

UK company INDE has already brought incredibly realistic 3D animals in unforgettable AR experiences to millions of museum, zoo, theme park and shopping mall visitors worldwide. Standing beside a life-sized T-Rex or getting amazingly close to orcas and dolphins is now easier than ever before, and the level of engagement is hardly comparable to any other interactive experience.

INDE has offices and representation in London, Budapest, New York, Sydney, Hong Kong and mainland China. Since 2011 the company has built award-winning AR systems worldwide for clients such as National Geographic, Smithsonian Institution, Beijing Aquarium, Universal Studios, BBC, 20th Century Fox and Coca-Cola.
