BroadcastAR Augmented Reality Experience at National Geographic’s “Explorer’s Festival”
Overview
National Geographic chose a cutting edge technology to bring a beautiful mammal back from the brink to their “Explorer’s Festival”. They partnered with INDE to create a life-sized Sumatran rhino that “walked” through the auditorium during the event.
Experience
For this annual consortium of innovators—scientists, conservationists, explorers, and storytellers—National Geographic asked INDE to develop this awe-inspiring AR experience for the festival’s panel on the depletion of the population of the Sumatran rhino. Using a large format screen and cutting-edge 3D technology, INDE wowed audiences in attendance with an immersive augmented reality experience that depicted Cincinnati Zoo rhino Harapan—“Harry” for short—taking a casual stroll through the auditorium.
